MFM Devotional For Today MESSAGE:
First, let me assure you that, as you begin your Quite Time today, no matter what is in opposition to your life and destiny, you shall overcome, in Jesus’ name. Beloved, there are no hopeless situations. There are only people who have grown hopeless about their situations.
Psalms 42:11 says, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”
Similarly, Ezekiel 37:1-3 says, “The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.” Here God took the prophet to a valley of lifelessness, and put a question of mind challenge to him, “Can these dry bones live?” And the prophet simply gave it back to the Giver of life, “O Lord God thou knowest.” God and God alone reveals the truth of all we call unknown. All the best and worst of man won’t change the Master’s plan.
No one is hopeless whose hope is in God. Have you ever been in despair? The answer is simple. Quit looking at your circumstances; rather, look at God. A pessimist finds a problem in every opportunity, but an optimist finds opportunity in every problem. Don’t despair, for God is the answer. In Romans 4:18, the Bible affirms that Abraham believed in hope against hope.
Now, why did I say that there is hope for you? It is because of the following reasons: (1) You are still alive (Ecclesiastes 9:4). (2) You are created for a purpose (Revelation 4:11). (3) God’s purpose does not go unfulfilled (Psalm 33:10-11). (4) God has power to do everything (Jeremiah 32:27). That is, there is no impossibility with God.
Every time we declare that our fate is hopeless, we are slamming the door of possibilities in the face of God. I encourage you to believe God like Father Abraham.
- O Lord my God, before my enemies mock me, appear in my situation, in the name of Jesus.
- Powers making life hard for me, I command your mass burial today, in the name of Jesus.
- Generational disappointment in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
- My Father, disgrace my disgrace, in the name of Jesus.
- Power from on High, come upon my life and let my story change, in the name of Jesus.
- I will laugh at last, whether my enemies like it or not, in the name of Jesus.
- Any situation that is working against hope in my life, I believe in hope, therefore disappear, in the name of Jesus.
